What this class is
Thymosin alpha-1 is a 28-residue acetylated peptide from prothymosin alpha, studied for its action on T-cell populations. TB-500 is the synthetic 17-residue active fragment of thymosin beta-4, a 43-residue actin-sequestering protein; the fragment is not the whole molecule, and the two names are frequently used as though they were interchangeable.
