What it is

A tripeptide of glutamate, cysteine and glycine, and the most abundant thiol in mammalian cells. Technically a peptide, but it functions as a redox cofactor rather than as a signalling molecule, which is why it sits with the cofactors here rather than with the peptides.

Concentration is mass divided by the volume you added. A 600mg vial made up to one millilitre of solvent gives 600mg per millilitre; to two millilitres, half that. Record the volume you used: a solution whose concentration is not written down is a solution you cannot use quantitatively.
